Kicking off SAMentine's Month!

February is my birthday month and Valentine’s, and GALentine’s, so I like to do it up BIG! There’s nothing but snow and nastiness this time of year, so I may as well celebrate the ISH outta the month, right?

I actually have some fun things planned, and a remembrance also as we will honor the first birthday since we lost Laura in the fall. She was a HUGE lover of the February celebrations, so let’s DO IT UP!

To kick us off, I just have a short post today with some ideas for outfits for all your things and great gift ideas, all linked to shop easily too!

First up is what to wear!

I haven’t traditionally committed to a big ole date night for Valentine’s day in ages (ahem, children, I’m talking to YOU), but since I do have something really fun planned (details to follow), I decided to go for it with my outfit this year.

I love the femininity of the tulle skirt and this color scheme is to die for–just so many options. For this shoot I paired it with a few things including a pink moto jacket and a silver cami, my favorite new pink sweater, booties and dressy sandals. In the spring I’ll even wear this skirt with a busted-up jean jacket. YAY!

How I’ll likely wear it ON Valentine’s day is the jacket over a graphic tee with the white booties to continue my (uniform, typical) feminine biker chic vibe.
