Cider House Rules (and the rest of Soergel’s too!)
It is finally FALL and the month of October–literally my favorite month of the year. I love seasons with LOTS of color (love spring too), but the cozy sweaters, harvest festivals, and autumnal decor just make me SWOON!
Now that I’m part of the blogging world, it’s also sort of a prerequisite to love #allthefallthings I’m learning. Too add my voice, I have several posts planned with my favorite things to do, festivals to hit up in the area, and of course HALLOWEEN!!!!
First up, Fall Festival Weekends at Soergel Orchards in Wexford!
Soergel Orchards was a perennial favorite for our kids when they were little. Ice cream, a play area, and pony rides were very popular with the littles and we spent lots of time there. As they became less interested in the play areas, we discovered that it’s a super place to just spend a beautiful afternoon any time! The Soergel’s garden center is fantastic (even for browsing), the market and Naturally Soergel’s have lots of delicious options, and they have a truly lovely gift selection in their gift barn as well as the indoor part of the Garden center. I drop some dollars on decor each season and love getting our landscaping needs filled here too.
During fall festivals, Soergel’s has food to enjoy from corn roasts to kettle corn and lots in between. The kids can “mine for gems” and visit the butterfly house. Perhaps one of the nicest features is the addition of Arsenal Cider on the property. With a great outdoor deck and game tables inside, Arsenal is a relaxing space to enjoy some tastings and a casual afternoon.
Through October, Soergel’s has fall festival weekends each week. Take a look at their website for more and bring the family! Maybe you’ll spot the #moxiesquad there.
